Insulated Duck Work Vest

A duck work vest with insulation through it, for keeping the core warm while the arms stay completely free.

Vests get overlooked and they should not. On a job that involves lifting, reaching or driving, a sleeve is the thing that gets in the way, and taking the sleeves off a warm garment solves that without giving up much heat at all. Duck is the shell, so it takes the same abuse as a jacket would, and the insulation makes it a genuine cold-weather layer rather than a decorative one. Black and brown duck are the two colours.

Wear it over a hoodie in deep winter and over a flannel either side of it. Size it to layer. Most people who buy one end up wearing it more than the jacket they bought it to supplement.
