Insulated Duck Coverall for Winter
A duck coverall with insulation through it, which is the single warmest thing most people will own.
There is a reason this shape has not changed in a century. One garment covers the whole body, there is no waist for cold air to find, and nothing untucks when you bend. Duck is the shell because it takes abrasion at the knees and elbows better than anything softer, and the insulation is inside it, so the warmth is part of the coverall rather than something layered under it. Black and brown duck are the two colours.
Sizing matters more here than anywhere else: you want room for a hoodie underneath and full movement at the shoulder, and a coverall that fits well in the shop over a shirt will not in January over a fleece. Take the bigger size. Then stop worrying about the cold.
